Glo Says Podcast with CEO and Co-founder Mickey McLeod
Gloria Chong from Glo Says had our CEO and Co-founder Mickey McLeod on her podcast to chat about specialty coffee, fair trade and the excitement and challenges of doing business in a way that makes a positive impact throughout the supply chain.
Mickey tells a story about how after experimenting with a 5lb bag of green beans and roasting it in a converted popcorn maker, he and co-founder Robbyn Scott realized that coffee was such a great product for carrying on with their values.
Coffee as a business touched on so many important social aspects – caring for people all the way down the supply chain. It also touches on agriculture and organic agriculture which is very important, and the quality of roasting coffee.
"To me, that's the only way to do business. You have to care about it – care about people, the process and the planet." – Mickey McLeod
