The catastrophic force of Hurricane Eta and Iota swept through Central America in early and mid November. The category 4 and 5 hurricanes caused flash floods and landslides affecting 1.7 million people in Honduras.
One of the most severely impacted communities is San Jose de Orientie in Santa Barbera, Honduras.
The livelihood of this community revolves around agriculture and livestock, with 70% of the local economy coming from coffee. Hurricane Eta and Iota have put a complete stop to these activities, damaging the roads, farms, water sources, electricity and homes.
There are over 25 families that have lost their homes in this community and need immediate assistance for relocation.
Starting today until January 15th 2021, $1.00 from every Holiday Blend 400g bag sold will go towards relocating and rebuilding homes for families in this community that have been displaced by Hurricane Eta and Iota.
