Our Holiday Blend coffee is ready.
Each year we acquire single origin coffees from around the world that we blend to create our very popular Holiday Blend, roasted for a limited time to match the magic of the season. For our 2014 blend, we’ve carefully handpicked coffees from Honduras, Brazil and Sumatra, Indonesia. The result is a medium dark roast with a full body and a rich, spicy chocolate finish. It’s a perfect pairing for the warmth of the holiday season.
Tasting Notes
AROMA: Chocolate, walnut, spice.
TASTE: This coffee has a spicy caramel aroma, which then develops into sweet chocolate, nutty and spice notes in the finish. It has a rich velvety body and a pleasantly mild, sweet acidity.
Roasting Notes
BLENDING: Each component bring its unique quality to the blend. Sumatra provides the full body, Brazilian provides the hints of walnut and the Honduran provides the spicy notes and brightness.
ROASTING: The roast levels are unique to each of the three beans. The Sumatra beans were roasted to a second crack to achieve a caramelized sweetness, and a rich earthiness in the body. The Brazilian beans were pulled out just before the second crack, to highlight the caramel tones. Lastly, the beans from Honduras were roasted well into the first crack to bring out the spicy, bright character, which fully complements the full body of the Sumatra.
