Salt Spring Coffee is 20—let’s celebrate!
Today, Salt Spring Coffee turns 20. Two decades after Mickey McLeod and Robbyn Scott roasted their very first coffee beans, Salt Spring Coffee is still organic, still fair to farmer, still changing the world. We’re celebrating the big day the best way we know how: with refreshments and presents!
Raise a glass
Of Salt Spring Coffee, that is! Join us in:
- Vancouver: We’ll be sharing samples of our cold brew at Be Fresh Market (1900 W 1st Ave in Kitsilano) from 11:00am to 12:00pm, and at Craft Beer Market (85 W 1st Ave) from 12:30pm to 2:00pm.
- Ganges: Our Ganges café will be hosting a community BBQ with breakfast sandwiches, cajun chicken burgers, veggies burgers and sausages for purchase from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Cold brew coffee and chocolate cake are on the house!
- Tsawwassen: Our café in the BC Ferry Terminal will be offering brewed coffee for $1 and free cookies all day.
Drum roll, please
For the past two weeks, we’ve been asking you to “Show us your beans!” on Instagram and sign up to receive our monthly newsletter on Facebook for a chance to win a Truly West Coast prize pack featuring a Baratza Encore burr grinder and our dark-roast Sumatra. Meanwhile, our friends over at Miss604 and Good Life Vancouver have been running giveaways of their own. All four winners will be announced by noon today, so cross your fingers and stay tuned.
We’re just getting started
If you missed those giveaways, have no fear. There are still more than 180 Baratza Encore grinders up for grabs at cafés, grocery stores and food service businesses across British Columbia and Alberta. Visit our 20 year anniversary page to enter online or find a participating location near you.
All online and in-store winners will be entered into the grand prize draw for a Salt Spring Island getaway for two, including a round-trip float plane flight between Vancouver and Ganges and two nights of accommodation on the Island. Contest closes on May 21, 2016.
